Best
known for appearing in Channel 4 TV’s ‘The Salon’, Gina Akers spent 6 months continuously filmed
live, on the screens of over 2.5 million viewers. Chosen from over 20,000 applicants to work as an expert in the hair and beauty industry, Gina was also manager
of The Salon on several occasions.
Gina’s regular TV appearances include several times on the Granada TV’s ‘This Morning’ as a beauty
expert, ‘The Salon’ Series 1, Channel 4's ‘Celebrity 5 Go Dating’, Bravo's ‘Fashanu's Football
Challenge’, and BBC1 ‘Test The Nation’. She has been an expert consultant to BBC Radio One Newsbeat,
‘So Graham Norton’, Sky One’s ‘Men In Frocks’. Gina has
been a TV Presenter on QVC Shopping Channel, Price-Drop TV, USave TV, The Avago Gaming Channel, the ntl Channel, Ideal World,
Ideal Vitality, We DeliverTV, the My Shop Channel.
Gina

over 3 million viewers per month.
Gina was a Series Consultant to Discovery Health’s ‘Fakeover’ series this being her own TV show idea which was commissioned by them.
Gina is the Resident Beauty & Make-Up Expert and a Columnist for the national consumer magazines 'Slimmer', 'Slim
At Home', and 'Perfect Wedding'.
Gina is also a beauty writer for 'Beautiful Weddings' magazine and the Resident Hair, Beauty & Image Expert
for the South West newspaper “The Swindon Adver” and Swindon's leading
on-line magazine 'Swindonweb'. Gina is the Resident Beauty, Image Expert for BBC Radio Swindon

Beauty & Holistic Therapist, Make-Up Artist, Nail Technician, Hair Extensions Technician, and Further Education Lecturer.
Gina is a Business & Management Graduate from Oxford Brookes University holding the equivalent of 5 degrees and 10 A'Levels.
Gina has won competitions and received numerous awards for hair and beauty.
